Square pegs and round holes: The adventures of “oddball” faculty bridging media specialties in academia

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This panel brings together faculty members with “oddball” media backgrounds and specialties. We refuse to be categorized and combine news, art, production, music, sports, digital humanities and more in our classrooms and research. The discussion will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of our cross-disciplinary expertise, including how it can impact teaching assignments & resources, finding jobs in academia, collegial relationships, tenure and promotion and anything else this eclectic mix of mindsets can think of. We’re fun & friendly! Come join the conversation!
