Discrimination and Threats to Women in Media: Educators as Informers, Protectors, and Advocates

As educators it is important for faculty to be aware of gender inequities and dangers for women in media, protect students against potential threat, and advocate for industry and cultural changes. This panel will address the inequities, harassment, and discrimination women face in broadcasting fields, while offering expertise and advice on ways educators can serve as informers, protectors, and advocates for change on behalf of practitioners and students.
